Their Majesties the King and Queen granted an audience to Thai young rock sensation Nene Royal and her family at Dusit Palace yesterday.
During the audience, Nene, a Phuket-born singer whose real name is Rattikarn Amloy, presented the King with her certificate of victory in America’s Got Talent.
The King returned the certificate to Nene as a keepsake and a lasting honour for her and her family.
HM the King expressed his congratulations, saying: “I am delighted and proud to see your talent and outstanding performance. I also had the opportunity to watch it, and it was a joy to see. Congratulations, and I hope you will continue to maintain your skills.”
The royal audience recognised the achievement of the young performer, who represented Thailand in the international talent competition.
Those accompanying her included her parents, Narong Amloy and Chuanpit Poonkerd, her younger brother, and Phuket Governor Chotnarin Kerdsom.
