A court in Pattani province has sentenced four men to life in prison after finding them guilty of detonating an explosive device in Sai Buri district on April 15, 2022, killing one victim and injuring three police officers.
The four perpetrators were identified as Mue Lee, Sulaiman, Atchaming and Wae Aryu.
They were charged with committing acts of terrorism, criminal association, premediated murder and attempted murder.
The court said that the force of the explosion killed Navee Pamon and seriously injured three explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) police officers.
The court initially sentenced all four to death, but commuted this to life for their useful testimony and confessions.
