Khao Yai National Park has announced a temporary closure for today and Sunday due to persistent heavy rainfall, leading to severe flash flooding and runoff that have left some mountain road sections impassable.
In an announcement issued Friday, the park said there is also a high risk of mud slides and falling rocks.
The closure of the park, which is a popular mountainous retreat for many due to its proximity to Bangkok, is to protect visitors from danger, said the park.
