Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra will lead her cabinet to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, two northern provinces severely affected by recent flooding, for their first retreat.
The prime minister will depart Bangkok on Thursday evening for Chiang Mai and host the first mobile cabinet meeting at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (Mae Rim campus) on Friday.
In the afternoon, Paetongtarn will visit the 700th Anniversary Chiang Mai Stadium, in Mae Rim district, to deliver policies and guidelines on the prevention and resolution of haze and PM2.5 dust pollution.
She will also attend the “Northern Coffee Gathering 2024” at the Old Chiang Mai Cultural Centre and preside over the launch of “Charming Chiang Mai 2025” at the provincial administrative office.
