Hat Yai has been ranked as offering Asia’s best hotel accommodation deals, averaging 1,250 baht per night, according to a survey conducted by the Agoda digital travel platform between June 15 and July 7.
Thai PBS reporters checked hotel room rates in Hat Yai online for this weekend and found that the lowest room rate available is 300 baht (incl. VAT) and from 360-500 baht/night inclusive of breakfast.
Agoda’s survey has attracted many comments, especially concerning the variety of food available around the clock.
Agoda also notes that Hat Yai is safe for tourists, making it a favourite weekend destination for many Malaysians.
Agoda also ranked other Asian cities where the cost of hotel accommodation is low. These include Jakarta, where average room rate is 1,340 baht/night, Kuching in Malaysia, 1,905 baht/night, Siargao Island in the Philippines, 2,009 baht/night and Đà Lạt in Vietnam.
