The Thai Embassy in Israel has ordered the immediate evacuation of Thai nationals from the border cities of Metula, Misgav Am and Kfar Giladi, after the Israeli army declared these areas closed military zones.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have imposed a military zone in those cities, which border Lebanon, amid reports and indications of an imminent Israeli ground operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The IDF announced that entering this area is now strictly prohibited.
The Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv issued a statement on its Facebook page telling Thai nationals in the area to evacuate immediately.
