Suspected insurgents torched a Tambon Administrative Organisation (TAO) office and blew up a nearby ATM in Sabayoi district of Thailand’s southern province of Songkhla early Saturday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, six men arrived at Ban Node TAO office about 1.40am this morning on three motorcycles. They blew up an ATM and then set the TAO office on fire before fleeing the scene. They also fired several gun shots into the office building.
Police say that no one was injured because the building was unoccupied at that hour.
Police and a fire truck rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire, which left the TAO office heavily damaged.
