Second set of remains of Thais killed in Israel arrived in Bangkok Thursday

Seven bodies of Thai nationals killed in Israel arrived in Bangkok this morning (Thursday), on an El Al flight.

They are the second set of victim remains to arrive, following the first eight last Friday.

The bodies were handed over to their families at Suvarnabhumi international airport to be transported back to their home provinces, in Chiang Rai, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Kamphaeng Phet, Khon Kaen and Udon Thani, for funerals.

Sawang Kawao, the mother of one of the victims, Sritat, told the media that her son was the main breadwinner for the family, sending money home every month. While admitting that her son’s death is a big loss, she said she feels relieved that at least his body has come home.

Meanwhile, three more flights were scheduled to arrive today, carrying a total of 547 Thai survivors.

Meanwhile, the Employment Service Department has more than 60,000 job vacancies for Thai returnees, if they do not wish to return to Israel. The department is also ready to help the returning Thais to work at home, on freelance basis, and to secure cheap loans, in case they need seed capital to start their own businesses.
