Another 40 investors, led by TV hosts Kanchai Kamnerdploy and Kan Chom Palang, filed complaints today with Consumer Protection Division officers against iCon Group e-commerce company and its management.
Kanchai, host of the influential Hone Krasae TV talk show, told the media that he decided to lead the investors to seek justice, after they complained of sustaining losses throughinvesting in the company.
He also said that he decided to bring Pakorn Chatborirak, a product presenter for iCon Group, with him because Pakornwants to demonstrate his transparency.
The TV host announced that he is willing to “eat rotten dog meat” if it would improve society, as he challenged iCon Group CEO Waratphol Waratvorakul to come onto his TV show to give his version of the company’s business, adding that his program is open to all, including the victims and the accused.
Meanwhile, Pakorn said that, although he has not suffered financial loss, he is also a victim, by being used as a tool by iCon Group as a product presenter, adding that he has already withdrawn from his employment contract with the company.
Investors suffering losses can now file complaints with the police through either the Consumer Protection Division (until October 17th), at any police station or through www.thaipoliceonline.go.th
More than 740 investors have filed complaints so far and the combined losses are estimated at over 260 million baht.
