His Majesty the King has donated 100 million baht to Hat Yai Hospital, to be used to purchase medical equipment damaged by the floods and to cover other repair costs, according to a letter from the Bureau of the Royal Household posted on the Facebook page of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul today.
The director of the hospital, Dr. Wiroj Yommuang, will be granted a Royal audience to receive the donation from His Majesty on a date yet to be set.
The funerals for all those who died in the flooding in all southern provinces will be granted Royal patronage.
His Majesty also expressed his concern for the flood victims and sent his condolences to families who have lost loved ones. He also offered moral support to medical personnel at Hat Yai and Songklanagarind hospitals, all officials and volunteers who are involved in the efforts to help the flood victims.
Moreover, His Majesty agreed to donate drones to the three armed forces and the police, to be used in the ongoing search and food supply operations.
