The American Heart Association (AHA) recently revealed that the Blackpink star's solo hit has the right tempo for the administration of hands-only (compression-only) CPR.
“Rockstar"” by Lisa has 120 beats per minute, which is the ideal tempo for manual CPR, according to the AHA. Hands-only CPR refers to continuous chest compressions without rescue breaths.
This method is used by rescuers who are unwilling or unable to deliver rescue breaths to a person who suddenly collapses in an out-of-hospital setting.
Aside from “Rockstar,” BTS' “Dynamite,” Shakira's “Hips Don't Lie,” “Stayin' Alive” by the Bee Gees and Beyoncé's “Crazy in Love” also have the right tempo for performing hands-only CPR, according to the AHA.
The solo was released on June 28, marking Lisa's comeback after three long years. The hit song was written by Lisa, Brittany Amaradio, James Essien, Lucy Healey, Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee, with production handled by Tedder and Homaee.
