61 areas of Bangkok have airborne PM2.5 dust in the atmosphere exceeding the 37.5 micron (µg/m³) standard level today.
The average in the capital is 42.6µg/m³ and the five most polluted areas are:
- Nong Khaem district, 50.8µg/m³
- Phasi Charoen district, 49.4µg/m³
- Wang Thong Lang district, 48.9µg/m³
- Nong Chok district, 47.2µg/m³
- Don Mueang district, 47.2µg/m³
The Air Quality Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said that poor air circulation in Bangkok over the next week is contributing to the concentration of airborne pollutants, which will fluctuate throughout the week.
