The entire city of Bangkok is shrouded in PM2.5 airborne dust today, exceeding the standard level of 37.5 µg/m³, according to the Air Quality Information Centre.
All 50 districts of the capital are in the “Orange” pollution category, with the average level of PM2.5 measured at 49.9 µg/m³.
The districts with the highest levels of PM2.5 today are:
- Bang Rak, 61.9 µg/m³
- Pathumwan, 60.9 µg/m³
- Prawet, 58.3 µg/m³
- Bang Khor Laem, 57.6 µg/m³
- Klong Sam Wa, 57.3 µg/m³
- Lat Krabang, 57.1 µg/m³
- Nong Khaem, 56.7 µg/m³
- Bang Khun Thian, 56.7 µg/m³
- Yan Nawa, 55.2 µg/m³
- Thawi Watthana, 54.7 µg/m³
- Taling Chan, 54.1 µg/m³
- Ratchathewi, 54 µg/m³
The Air Quality Information Centre reported that airborne pollution in the northern, eastern, southern, and central regions has begun to affect public health.
It advises everyone to wear face masks whenever they are outdoors.
