Police have found listening devices concealed in the conference rooms of one of state-owned broadcasters, the Mass Communication Organisation of Thailand (MCOT), during a sweep of its headquarters today.

The rooms where the devices were discovered are used for MCOT board meetings.

Police, along with forensic officers, swept the sixth floor of the headquarters at the request of the MCOT. Officials working in the affected areas were removed and the floor has been cordoned off.

The MCOT later issued a statement, indicating that it has filed a complaint with the police over the matter and stating that those found to be involved in planting the bugging devices will be dismissed.
