Belgium kicked favorite Brazil out of the World Cup with a 2-1 victory last night to face France in the semi-finals.
The Belgians took a shocking lead in the 13th minute when Vincent Kompany jumped near the post for a header that was deflected by Brazil’s Fernadinho into the goal. Then 19 minutes later, Kevin De Bruyne scored a wonderful goal. Though Renato Augusto headed in a goal for Brazil in the 76th minute, it was already too late for the five-time world champion. It is Belgium’s first time since 1986 to play in the semi-finals of the World Cup
