Bangkok started COVID-19 inoculations, with 130 medics first in line – Thai PBS World Tonight [1st March 2021]

Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang visited the Bang Khun Thien Geriatric Hospital to observe the inoculation program, after the government allocated 66,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines to Bangkok.

The other two hospitals were Ratchapipat Hospital in Bang Khae district and Luang Por Taweesak Hospital in Nong Kaem district.

The governor said today that, in Bangkok, 12,400 doses are for medical personnel, 1,600 are for officials in close contact with patients, 47,000 are for those with congenital diseases and 5,000 doses are for the general public.

As for the next stage of the inoculation program in Bangkok, the vaccines will cover 16 hospitals under the BMA, including private hospitals.
