The 12 young members of the Wild Boars soccer team and their coach are expected to be discharged from Chiang Rai hospital this coming Thursday, Public Health Minister Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn.

He told a news conference that they are all in good health but need more rest after they go home. A video clip showing each of the young patients appearing in high spirits and talking to the camera was also shown during the press conference
“I am fine. I want to thank everyone for their help,” one of them said. Another said he was doing fine and wanted to eat roasted pork and pork barbeque.

Fourteen-years-old Adul Sam-on, who won the hearts of many Thais by speaking English to the first British rescue team who found them, also talked to the camera in English: “I am very fine. I Want to thank you very much.”
He said though their physical health has been restored and all have started regaining lost weight, he would advise against subjecting them to media exposure. “You need to consider their metal state after what they have been through,” he said.

He strongly advised that the media refrain from asking questions that would make them recall their traumatic experience.
