Vacharaesorn Vivacharawongse is visiting Bangkok this week and has seized the opportunity to sample some dishes at Jay Fai, a roadside hawker famed for receiving a Michelin star two years in a row.

Vacharaesorn, who resides in the US, shared photos on his Facebook of Jay Fai’s renowned dishes, including the crab omelette.

“I took the opportunity to savor the crab omelette at Jay Fai’s. She is very welcoming, and all of her dishes are delicious, living up to her name,” he wrote, adding, “In addition to serving us her dishes until we were full, she also gave us the Shin Ramyun x Jayfai instant noodle package.”

This marks his second visit to Thailand after making a surprise trip in August. Vacharaesorn is the second eldest of four sons of HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn and his former royal consort.

During his first visit, he captured the attention of the Thai public and foreign media, as it was his initial return to Thailand in 27 years. This time, he arrived in Bangkok on December 5 and paid his respects at the statue of the late HM King Rama IX, his grandfather.

It is reported that he will spend about two weeks in Thailand on this trip
