Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob has voluntarily begun self-isolation for 14 days, after one of his staff, who visited an entertainment venue in the Thonglor area, was found to be infected with COVID-19.

The minister said today that he immediately went for a COVID-19 test at a hospital in the northeastern province of Buri Ram, after he learned about the infection of a staff member, adding that he also ordered other staff to isolate for 14 days and had his office disinfected.

The minister also said that he has informed Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha about his voluntary isolation and has assigned his deputy to act on his behalf during the 14 days.
