Thailand’s Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) is offering advance bookings for Sinopharm and Moderna vaccines to organisations, corporate entities and hospitals for administration to their members, employees the public as booster shots.

According to the CRA’s information centre, bookings are due to open on October 29th and entities interested to procuring the vaccines must book enough of either of the two brands for at least 12 people. The vaccines are priced at 555 baht per dose of Moderna and 550 baht per dose of Sinopharm.

There is, however, a condition attached to the bookings. Each buyer will be required to donate 10% of the vaccines it booksback to the CRA, which will be administered to vulnerable people who have received their first Sinopharm jab at Chulabhorn Hospital free of charge.

The private hospitals or organisations which book either of the two vaccines can charge their customers a higher, but appropriate rate than that charged by the CRA.

The cost of the donated vaccines by private hospitals, organizations or corporate entities can be used as a tax deduction at the rate of double the vaccine’s cost.

The two vaccines are recommended as third booster shots for people already inoculated with 2 doses of other vaccines.

The bookings being are held to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the founding of the Chulabhorn Hospital.
