Cambodian authorities have decided to postpone the handover of Mr Panya Yingdang, aka Sia Oun, wanted for the murder of a man and a woman in Chon Buri on July 29, until Tuesday, claiming incomplete paperworks.

Pol Gen Suchart Thirasawat, the police inspector-general, who was in Cambodia to arrange for the handover of Sia Oun, said Saturday that he was told the paperworks would be completed on Monday and the suspect would be returned to Thai police on Tuesday.

The Cambodian authorities have wanted to trade Sia Oun with two murder suspects, Boun Pornlok and Huan, who are now being kept at the detention cell of Klong Loek police station in Aranyaprathet district of Sakaew province.

Originally, the exchange of the suspects was supposed to take place today at Klong Loek border crossing.

Sia Oun was accused of involvement in the murder of Ms Paweena Namuangrak and Mr Anantachai Charitrum at Khao Cheechan in Chon Buri province.  He later escaped to Cambodia and was caught by Cambodian officials in Preveng province near the Vietnamese border.
