September 26, 2024: Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is _ allegedly _ everything that is wrong about America. The famous rapper and entertainment mogul, accusers charge, exuded dark influences of immense proportions, blackmailed people at numerous levels, resorted to violence when it came to jealousy and sex, was involved in heinous sexual crimes, twisted the justice system time and again for his own interest and barely needed to hide behind glory and fame because everyone knew about it but could not do anything.
And the legal clampdown that has led to his arrest just days ago came apparently because many thought enough was enough, not because simple morality prevailed. If it had anything to do with morals, he would not have become so rich, allegedly nasty, and powerful in the first place, and the “Freak Off” party would not have been organised, let alone so blatantly.
He has denied all charges, maintaining that he is innocent. But court refusals to accept a bail offer of up to $50 million both tells the magnitudes of his alleged wrongdoings, suspected influences and mocks the fact that American society allowed him to go on like that for so long.
Big names in America’s far-reaching entertainment business are squirming, because being in his guest lists is enough to destroy a person, innocent or allegedly complicit. Politicians must be anxious as well.
Some have started to compare him to late Jeffrey Epstein, a highly-influential, highly-notorious and highly-connected man in America who died in prison after being indicted in 2019 on several federal charges including operating a sex-trafficking ring for so long. Court documents reportedly covered a myriad of high-profile names.
