September 28, 2024: Latest shocking news in the Middle East, the itch toward usage of long-range missiles by Ukraine that could activate Russia’s nuclear weapons, and many world leaders needing great “distractions” have pushed everyone ever closer toward the edge of the Armageddon.
Everybody knows the Middle East is on fire, but how close is it to an all-out war between Israel and Muslim superpowers after big military casualties in Lebanon that reportedly include the highest Hezbollah leader?
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been mustering support for a possible use of long-range missiles that Russia insists cannot be operated without America’s or NATO’s direct help. Long-range attacks could be a point of no return when nuclear arms are concerned.
In addition, key world players are apparently seeing big wars as great distractions. Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu is upping the ante in Lebanon because his relatively-personal battle in Gaza has painted him in a bad humanitarian light. Zelenskyy considers a victory as the only way to get out of big troubles, many of which unrelated to national pride or territories.
Political leaders standing to lose power or fearing they may lose power or facing economic quicksand regard big wars as a way-out, because they can prolong their reigns with few questions asked. With uncertainties plaguing many countries, analysts feel the worsening world situations are a big slippery slope and every key player is on it.
