Police in Pathum Thani province are gathering evidence to seek arrest warrants for six Free People protest leaders, for their roles in the August 10^th protest at Thammasat University’s Rangsit campus, during which offensive remarks were allegedly made about the Thai Monarchy.

The six protest leaders were identified by police as Ms. Panasya Sitthijirawattanakul, Panupong Jaadnok, human rights lawyer Anon Napa, Ms. Natthachon Pairote, Thanawat Chanplik and Sitnont Songsiri.

Police said that they face six charges, including inciting public unrest.

Meanwhile, it is reported that police have filed additional charges against a man who flew a remote-controlled drone to take pictures of the protest at the Democracy Monument on Sunday.

Mr. Yutthalert Lippapark, a movie director, said on Twitter that police allege that the man, identified only as Ek-anan, had flown the drone too close to the Grand Palace and have decided to press an additional charge against him.

Mr. Yutthalert added that the new charge will require bail, amounting to 75,000 baht, and that Ek-anan does not have the money so, therefore, an appeal will be launched for public donations to help him.

A Kao Klao party-list MP Tanyawat Kamonwongwat has offered to bail the pilot, who is currently free on bail on a separate charge.
