Petchakasem highway in Bang Saphan district temporarily closed

The south-bound Petchakasem highway has been closed to traffic after a stretch of the road in Bang Saphan district of Prachuab Khiri Khan was heavily flooded. 

The Highways Department said Friday afternoon that the stretch, from kilometer marker 385 to 385.5  was under water between 60-70 cm deep, making it impassable to all vehicles.

Highway officials have put up signs and traffic cones to warn motorists to drive with caution and, at the same time deployed men to guard the road around the clock.
