France in semi-finals with 2-0 victory over Uruguay
France outclassed Uruguay 2-0 tonight to become the first team to advance to the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2018. Raphael Varane scored with a header in the 40th minute. In the 61st minute Antoinne Griezmann put in a powerful free-kick shot that went straight to Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera who failed to stop the ball. Uruguay went into the game without key striker Edinson Cavani, who was ruled out with a calf injury.
