How a community in Colombia uses tourism to cleanse itself of violence stigma

Comuna 13 was considered one of the most dangerous areas in the world, due to violent conflicts between violent drug trafficking gangs, right-wing guerrillas, left-wing paramilitaries and an overwhelmed government.

Nowadays, this hitherto no-go-area has become a popular tourist destination, sporting beautiful street art and eye-catching graffiti.
