Negotiating teams of the eight coalition parties are scheduled to meet on May 30th at the head office of the Prachachart party, to resolve the tussle between the Pheu Thai and Move Forward parties over the House speakership.

Move Forward party secretary-general Chaithawat Tulathong said on Saturday that he believes there is still enough time for internal discussion to settle the matter, adding that there remain other agenda that the parties will have to discuss, such as the allocation of ministerial portfolios and the right persons to fill various posts, including some outsiders who are to be invited to join the government.

As far as the Move Forward party is concerned, he said that they have not yet chosen who will take cabinet posts or the House speakership because it is not the right time.

Meanwhile, Thai Liberal party leader Sereepisuth Temeeyaves has suggested that Prachachart party leader Wan Muhamad Noor Matha should be the House speaker.
