Bangkok is blanketed in excessive airborne pollutants today, with the average level of PM2.5 dust measured at 45µg/m³ (microns), with the standard safe level being 37. 5µg/m³s, according to the Air Quality Information Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
All 50 districts in the capital are in the Orange category (unhealthy for sensitive groups).
The districts with the highest levels of PM2.5 dust are:
• Nong Khaem. 54.4µg/m³
• Thon Buri, 54µg/m³
• Bang Khun Thian, 53.7µg/m³
• Thawee Wattana, 53.5µg/m³
• Bang Phlat, 53.2µg/m³
• Rommanee Thung See Kan Park in Don Mueang, 52.3µg/m³
• Phasi Charoen, 52.3µg/m³
• Khlong Sam Wa, 50.6µg/m³
• Taling Chan, 50.6µg/m³
• Phaya Thai, 49.6µg/m³
• Bang Khen, 49.4µg/m³
• Bang Khae Phirom Park in Bang Khae, 49.3µg/m³
People living in Bangkok are advised to wear face masks when outdoors, reduce out-door activities and not to exercise outside.
