The Chart Thai Pattana party will, on Friday, respond to the invitation by the Palang Pracharat to join its coalition.

A formal invitation was extended to the Chart Thai Pattana party today when a group of core Palang Pracharat members, led by party leader Mr. Uttama Savanayana, paid a visit to Chart Thai Pattana’s head office.

They were warmly received by party leader Ms. Kanchana Silpa-archa, the party’s strategy chief Waravut Silpa-archa, party secretary-general Praphat Pothasuthon and Mr. Nikorn Chamnong, the party’s director.

Ms. Kanchana later told the media that the party would call a meeting of its executive committee on Friday to discuss the invitation and she expected a prompt response.

She said that, so far, the two parties had not discussed cabinet portfolios, but she indicated that the party would like to have a cabinet positions that would allow the party to reach out to grass root people.
