The Thai government has a clear roadmap to the phasing out of single-use plastic bags and the recycling of plastic waste.

For island communities, however, there are limitations on efficient management of garbage.  They may need help and cooperation from neighbouring countries, where their islands are located close to Thailand’s borders.
