Police mounted yet another land and river search yesterday (Tuesday) for the 8-month-old baby who went missing from home in the Bang Len district of Nakhon Pathom on February 5^th.

Two sniffer dogs, named “Raptor” and “Contra”, from the Police Dog Subdivision, joined the land search yesterday, as police and volunteers in boats searched the Tha Chin River for the baby’s clothes, which might have been dumped there by any kidnappers.

Pol Cpt Suvit Ardul, deputy inspector of the Police Dog Subdivision, said that the search focused on a deserted cottage in a rice field, a house, a fish pond and the spot where baby diapers were found.

He admitted that it might be challenging for the two dogs to track the baby, because it is 18 days since he disappeared.

The national deputy police chief, Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, visited the Bang Luang police station in Bang Len district last night, to tell the police to speed up the investigation into the circumstances in which the baby went missing and arrest the perpetrators.

The parents of the child have become the police’s prime suspects. Both have been the subjects of numerous rounds of questioning, each lasting several hours, and polygraph examinations, but they insist that they are innocent.

Drones and a submersible have been deployed in the search, which has failed to find any trace of the baby so far.
