Chon Buri provincial police are trying to identify the body of a woman found inside a large suitcase, which was dumped in a reservoir in Huai Yai sub-district in Chon Buri.
Police from Huai Yai district were at Klong Bang Yai reservoir yesterday, after being alerted by villagers to a half-submerged suitcase. Inside the luggage, which was bound with an iron chain and tied down with some weights, police found the decomposing body of a woman, who is believed to have died about five days ago.
The body was taken to the Institute of Forensic Science of the Police General Hospital for autopsy and identification.
Police said that the suitcase was of the same type as another found earlier, with a body inside, in Ban Chang district of neighboring Rayong province. They added, however, that it cannot not be confirmed yet whether the two incidents are related.
