Two police officers were shot dead by southern insurgents in Yarang district of the southern province of Pattani late Wednesday night.
Initial reports are that the two officers from Yarang district police station were on patrol on a motorcycle when they were ambushed by insurgents.
The names of the two victims were not available at the time of this report.
