Search mounted to look for seven missing following flash flood and mud slide

The Third Army Region has sent out a search and rescue team to look for seven missing people after a refugee camp in Sob Moei district of the northern province of Mae Hong Son was struck by flash flood and mud-slide on Sunday night.

A field medical team from Vachiraprakan hospital in Tak province has also been flown by an army helicopter to the refugee camp in Ban Mae La-oon in Tambon Mae Sam Laeb.

Flash flood and mud-slide caused by continuing heavy rain destroyed six houses and partially damaged eight other shelters in the refugee camp.

Report said that the search operation was hindered by huge amount of mud and tree debris.
two-year-old girl was killed and 11 injured in the incident.
