Government and opposition whips have agreed to debate the 3.78 trillion baht budget bill for 2026, in its second and final readings, from August 13th to 15th and to hold three special House meetings between August and October.
The budget bill passed its first reading in the House on May 31tst and it has already been through the House scrutiny committee, comprising both government and opposition representatives.
During the second and final readings, members of the House scrutiny committee, and MPs who have reserved time to speak about the budget, will be given only seven minutes to present their views, while MPs who have not made reservations will be given only five minutes each.
The House meeting to debate on the budget bill will begin at 9am and end at 11.30pm each day.
