The Central Administrative Court has fined the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Bt10,000 and ordered them to release, to political activist Veera Somkwamkid, findings and relevant information about the 22 luxurious wristwatches seen being worn by former deputy prime minister Prawit Wongsuwan.

In his Facebook post today, Veera said that the ruling was issued by the Central Administrative Court on May 2nd, in a case in which he sued the NACC’s Office and the NACC for defying the ruling of the Supreme Administrative Court ordering them to release the findings.

During the trial, Veera said that the Central Administrative Court summoned him and the two defendants for an enquiry.

After the ruling by the court on May 2nd, he said that he will file charges against the two defendants with the Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases.

After the coup in 2014, General Prawit was seen wearing several expensive brand-name wristwatches on various occasions. He claimed that the watches had been borrowed from a former classmate, who had since passed away, and that all the timepieces had been returned to the deceased’s family.

In December 2018, the NACC decided to clear General Prawit of making a false asset declaration to the anti-graft watchdog.
