The government has extended the registration period for the “You Fight, We Help”, or “Khun Soo Rao Chuay”, program for small debtors - both individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) - until April 30.
Government spokesperson Sasikan Wattanachun announced the update this week, adding that more applicants are welcome to register for the scheme via the Bank of Thailand’s website at www.bot.or.th/khunsoo.
She said that applications have already exceeded the government’s initial target of around 1.9 million, prompting the extension of the registration deadline from the original date of February 28.
According to the spokesperson, individuals and SME operators can register through the Bank of Thailand’s website until 11.59pm on April 30, or contact the BOT Contact Center at 1213 for more information.
The program is open to small debtors of both commercial banks and non-bank financial institutions. It is intended not only to ease their debt repayment burden but also to help reduce household debt in Thailand by about 10%.
