A Chinese man and three Vietnamese women have been arrested for allegedly operating a gambling website from a condominium in Bangkok’s Lat Phrao area.
Acting on a tipoff, a joint force of Sutthisan, tourist and immigration police officers raided a room in a Lat Phrao condominium, where there were the four suspects, believed to be administrators, operating the online casino.
In the room the officers found eight notebook computers and tablets, six smart phones and a Ledger Nano X wallet.
Ledger Nano X is a Bluetooth-enabled hardware wallet used to store and manage offline cryptocurrencies and NFTs securely.
The four suspects claimed during questioning that they came into Thailand about two months ago and were hired by a Chinese national to administer the gambling website, with the promise of a 50,000 baht monthly salary.
All were charged with operating illegal online gambling activities.
