The temperature in the northern and northeastern regions in the next 24 hours is forecast to dip by a further 1-2oC, while the central region, including Bangkok, and the east will remain cool and windy. Most of southern region is forecast to see heavy to very heavy rain, according to the Meteorological Department.
Minimum temperatures in the northern region are predicted to be between 14 and 19oC in the lowlands and between 3 and 11oC on the mountain tops. Maximum temperatures will range from 23-29oC.
In the northeastern region, the weather is cold and windy, with minimum temperatures being forecast at between 15 and 18oC on the flat land and 6-12oC in the highlands.
The central provinces are cool and windy, with minimum temperatures forecast at between 19 and 21oC, while the eastern region remains cool and windy. Minimum temperatures range from 19-22oC. Waves in the Gulf of Thailand range from 1-2 metres in height near the coast and over two metres in the open sea.
Bangkok and its peripherals will remain cool in the morning with strong winds. Minimum temperatures range from 20-22oC.
The southern east coast is forecast to face heavy to very heavy rainfall, covering 70% of Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperatures are forecast at between 20 and 24oC.
Rain is predicted to cover 80% of Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun provinces. Minimum temperatures range from 23-24oC.
