Zero new COVID-19 infections recorded in Thailand

Thailand recorded no new coronavirus infections or fatalities today, as the country reaches 46 consecutive days without a single case of locally-transmitted infection.

 

Two additional recoveries were recorded today, bringing recoveries to 3,087, while cumulative infections, to date, are 3,202. The death toll remains 58, with 57 patients still being treated in hospital.

Globally, cumulative infections have increased to 12,387,826 with a death toll of 557,405. The world’s five most infected countries are:

  1. United States 3,219,999 cases
  2. Brazil 1,759,103 cases
  3. India    794,842 cases
  4. Russia   707,301 cases
  5. Peru    316,448 cases

The United States broke a new single-day record today, with 65,551 new infections and the country’s death toll has risen to 133,245.

Thailand is ranked 99th.
