Chinese New Year is among the most important holidays among Thai people of Chinese descent, and when we think of Chinese New Year celebrations in Thailand, we might also think of Bangkok’s Chinatown area, known as Yaowarat. Apart from the extravagant celebrations, this is where many Chinese traditions and practices still exist.
