The vaccination centre at Bangkok’s Bangsue Grand Station is now offering a walk-in 2nd dose inoculation service, with the AstraZeneca vaccine, every day from 1pm to 5pm to people who received their first dose in other provinces.
Those who want to receive their second AstraZeneca jab must have received a first dose of either Sinovac or Sinopharm vaccine at least 21 days ago, or 56 days if their first dose was AstraZeneca.
To be eligible, they must show proof of receiving their first vaccine jab, which can be checked via the “Mor Prom” app.
The walk-in vaccination service is only intended for people travelling from the countryside to look for work in Bangkok and its neighbouring provinces.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health has given the greenlight for third booster shots, with the AstraZeneca vaccine for those who have received two Sinopharm vaccine doses, to begin next week.
The ministry also offered advice on mix and match vaccination with Moderna, whether it is Sinovac-Moderna, AstraZeneca-Moderna, Sinopharm-Moderna or Pfizer-Moderna. The second dose of Moderna vaccine must be four weeks from the first dose.
For a booster shot, using the Moderna vaccine after two doses of Sinovac or Sinopharm vaccine, the period of time after the second shot must be four weeks. In the case of two doses of AstraZeneca, the third Moderna booster jab must be administered six months after the second shot.
