The Thai premier has ordered the foreign ministry to prepare an evacuation plan for Thai nationals in war-torn Israel following its conflict with Iran.
Iran launched its second direct attack on Israel in history on Tuesday, firing missiles, including hypersonic weapons, which sent Israeli civilians into shelters.
Israel has vowed to make Iran pay for firing missiles at its territory, while Tehran warned on Wednesday that it would launch an even bigger attack.
Jirayu Huoungsub, adviser to the prime minister, stated that PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra has expressed concerns about the possible impacts on Thais working in Israel.
She has assigned the Foreign Ministry, through its embassy in Tel Aviv, to provide Thai nationals with necessary information regarding the situation there.
If the situation deteriorates and becomes risky, she said, the relevant authorities should assist Thais in evacuating from the area.
