Air quality in Bangkok is getting worse, with the amount of PM2.5 dust in the atmosphere exceeding the standard level of 50 microns (microgram/cubic metre) being reported in 24 out of 50 districts, according to the Bangkok Air Quality Information Centre.
The amount of PM2.5 in the atmosphere in Bangkok was measured at between 30 and 64 microns between 5am and7am Friday, averaging 46.4 microns. PM2.5 dust is expected to increase and pose a health threat, said the centre.
The 24 districts with excessive PM2.5 today are:

• Bang Na
• Bang Phlad
• Bangkok Noi
• Bangkok Yai
• Chom Thong
• Don Mueang
• Khlong San
• Lak Si
• Nong Khaem
• Pathumwan
• Phasi Charoen
• Prawet
• Ratburana
• Sathorn
• Taling Chan
• Thawee Wattana
• Thon Buri
• Thung Khru
• Yan Nawa
The centre attributes the deteriorating air quality to the cold front from China and only slight breezes.
