Of the new infections, 280 are prisoners and 11 are arrivals from other countries.
Dr. Apisamai said that, so far, there are 70 clusters scattered over 35 districts in Bangkok and they have been placed under close watch by health officials, including the latest one.
She said that the company has been closed since June 4th and all the infected workers have been isolated for treatment or observation, according to their condition.
She expressed concern with the situation in Samut Prakan province, where clusters of infections have been detected in several places, including condominium buildings, a community in Bang Phli housing estate’s market, in ice factories, at an aluminium plant, construction housing camps and in the Wat Raspothong community.
In Nonthaburi province, she said that new infections are now concentrated in three districts, where there are housing facilities for both Thai and migrant workers. In Pathum Thani province, the new infection rate has slowed, but they can still be found at the Simummuang market.
