From this Saturday, Thailand will be dropped from the United Kingdom’s quarantine list, which means that travelers, from Thailand to England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, need not be quarantined on arrival.
According to a BBC report today (Friday), Thailand and Singapore have been added to the list of “travel corridor” countries.
Two more countries, Slovenia and Guadeloupe, have been added to the UK’s quarantine list, due to a significant change in both the level and pace of confirmed cases of coronavirus, according to the UK’s Department of Transport.
The decision to remove quarantine restrictions for arrivals from Thailand and Singapore is, however, unlikely to lead to a surge of people from the UK visiting Thailand because both countries are allowing people to enter under a limited set of circumstances, such as having a work permit or being the spouse or child of a resident.
