As Nok Air, Thai AirAsia, Thai Lion Air and Thai VietJet have resumed domestic services from Lampang, Mae Sot, Phitsanuloke, Buriram, Sakhon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Roi-Et, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Surat Thani and Krabi regional airports, Thailand’s Ministry of Transport is advising passengers to check advisories on local conditions and restrictions applicable at their destination prior to making their journey.
For example:
- Phitsanuloke – Local residents returning to the province must self-quarantine at home, or at a hotel for 14 days immediately upon their arrival. Those leaving the province only need to check the requirements oat their destination.
- Buriram – All passengers must self-quarantine for 14 days and will have a validation sticker attached to their ID card or passport once they completed quarantine period.
- Krabi – Currently, no one is allowed to enter Krabi unless they have been tested negative for COVID-19. Arriving passengers must show evidence that they went through self-quarantine in line with Ministry of Public Health’s requirements. Those who have not been tested for COVID-19 or do not have the required documents must enter state mandated quarantine in Krabi on arrival and meet their own expenses for doing so.
- Trang – Arrivals must have a residence in Trang province. Those working in Trang must have employment certification and all passengers must have a medical certificate and enter self-quarantine for 14 days.
- Nakhon Phanom – Only passengers are allowed inside the airport’s terminal. Foreigners are not currently allowed to enter Nakhon Phanom without formal approval from the Provincial Governor.
Lampang, Tak (Mae Sot), Sakhon Nakhon, Roi-Et, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Surat Thani provinces have, as yet, not announced any restrictions on travel to the Province, but this is subject to change so all passengers are strongly advised, by the Ministry of Transport, to check the latest information on their destination before departure.
Passengers must check the details with the airline prior to travel and follow all measures put in place at the airports to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
