Warning of rainstorms and strong winds Sept 28-Oct 1

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rainstorm and strong winds in 53 provinces, including Bangkok, from today until Monday, as result of high pressure from China which has blanketed the upper parts of Thailand.

Northern and northeastern provinces will first be affected starting today to be followed the following day by Bangkok and the remaining provinces in the central region, the East and upper part of the South, said the department.

People are warned to stay clear from big trees, huge billboards, open fields and weak construction structures. From tomorrow until Monday, the following provinces will face rain storm and strong wind.

The northern region: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Msi, Lamphun, Lampang, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun,
Phichit, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai and Tak.

The Northeast: Muk Dahan, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri
Ram, Surin, Yasothorn, Amnart Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani and Si Sa Ket.

The Central Plains: Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Nakhon Sawan, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom, Suphan Buri, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon and Bangkok as well as its peripherals.

Eastern region: Chachoengsao, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaew, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Southern region: Phetchaburi, Prachuab Khiri Khan, Chumporn, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phang-nga and Phuket.
