Vietnam to fully reopen for international tourists March 15th

Vietnam to fully reopen to international visitors from 15th March. According to the proposal, visitors will no longer need to be part of package tours and only need to meet medical criteria on vaccination and testing.

From now until March 14th, Vietnam will continue to welcome international visitors in phase two of its pilot program. After that, it will fully reopen.

Starting March 15, according to the proposal, visitors will no longer need to be part of package tours and only need to meet medical criteria on vaccination and testing. In addition, tourists must install the prescribed Covid-19 prevention apps and purchase insurance that comes with Covid-19 treatment and a minimum liability of 10,000 USD.

Particularly for visitors entering by air, they are required to go directly to their registered accommodation, are not allowed to interact with the community, and must get tested within 24 hours. If they test negative, they will be allowed to participate in tourism activities. If they’re positive for COVID-19, they will be medically isolated at their place of accommodation and will be treated according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health.
